Information about The Maya Room
For your party or any special event!

 

The Maya Room
The Maya Room's maximum seating is 70 people, with a minimum of 50 to reserve the entire room for you. If
less than 50 there will be a $75.00 labor fee. It can also include the rotunda to set up a bar and appetizers for
your reception time. 

Vanessa's Cafe
Is our new charming coffee shop located just across from the main entrance of El Portal, we can seat small groups for meetings or private parties of 45 or less. There is a labor fee of $ 75.00 dollars when you decide to have the room as a private party. Our Rotunda, which can hold a seating of 30 people maximum is a great area for you to have a small party or an intimate dinner.

We require a deposit of $100.00 in advance to secure the reservation on any of our rooms. That amount will be credited against the charge at the time of the event, but is not refundable.

We can print a special menu which usually includes three entrée choices along with a salad and a beverage consisting of a soft drink, tea or coffee. Dessert can be offered and we only charge for the number of desserts ordered at $ 3.00 to $ 4.00 per order. For parties of 30 people or more, we strongly suggest a buffet service.

The cost of this type of menu is $ 20.00 - $ 25.00 per person plus tax (9.00%) & gratuities (18%). A room/labor charge of $ 75.00 will be added if under a minimum of 50 people.

Alcoholic beverages can be hosted by you or we can sell on a cash and carry basis. We have a full bar or you could limit the selection to margaritas, wines and beer.

El Portal Tostada
Caesar salad, over black beans, topped with julienne of grilled breast chicken, avocado, a touch of parmesan, diced tomatoes, jicama and baby corn.

Tostada Tradicional
Your choice of shredded Chicken or Beef, lettuce, diced tomato, grated cheese, over pinto beans. Served with sour cream & guacamole

Vegetarian Tostada
Sautéed Fresh seasoned vegetables, over pinto beans, diced tomatoes, pickled red onion, grated cheese, cucumber,  jicama and avocado slices. Great and healthy

Yucatan Trio
A portion of Cochinita Pibil, one Yucatan style tamale of Chicken and grilled Poc-Chuc. Served with pickled onion, rice, black bean soup and tortillas

Fajitas
Julienne of tender grilled Beef or Chicken sautéed with tomatoes, mixed bell peppers, onions & a touch of achiote sauce. Served in a hot skillet with a side of pico de gallo, guacamole, rice and beans

Carnitas
Pork simmered in citrus juice and mild spices, then finished in a casserole until tender. Served with rice and beans,  pico de gallo and guacamole

Flat Spinach & Shrimp Enchilada
A soft tortilla covered with sautéed spinach, pico de gallo & baby shrimp, topped with a second tortilla,
salsa verde, melted cheese, avocado slices and sour cream

Fish Tacos Rosarito
Strips of lightly breaded snapper, served on corn tortillas with pico de gallo, guacamole, tartar sauce, rice and beans

Seafood Fajitas
Large Shrimp ,baby Scallops & Tilapia, all  sautéed with red & green bell peppers , onions, tomatoes and mushrooms, finished with a touch of achiote sauce. Served with rice, beans and tortillas

El Rancho Combo
One crispy taco of shredded beef and a cheese enchilada, served with rice and pinto beans.

Milanesa de Pollo
Tender chicken lightly coated in bread crumbs, herbs and pan sautéed,  finished with a chipotle salsa. Served with a small salad of green and rice.

Carne Asada
Tender and tasty New York Steak broiled to order, served with a cheese enchilada rice, fresh vegetables, pico de gallo and guacamole

Breast of Chicken Monica
Ricotta, spinach and wild mushrooms, all folded into a tender and flavorful breast of chicken, then baked. Served cut in medallion with a chipotle sauce on a bed of rice and fresh vegetables

Camarones a la Diabla
Shrimp of the Gulf, delicately sautéed with spicy chipotle adobado, tomato sections, diced bell pepper and onion, served with rice and beans.

Chayotes Rellenos
Chayote squash filled with ground turkey and fresh diced vegetables, served over pebre sauce with black beans & rice.

Chicken and Pasta Fiesta
Penne pasta with pesto sauce and chicken breast, vegetables, cherry tomato, pine nuts, gorgonzola cheese and olives.

Chile Colorado
A casserole of pan sautéed chunks of flank steak, onion and tomatoes, finished with red sauce.  Served with rice, beans, and tortillas.

Filet of Sole Caribe
Flavorful and light, finished pan sautéed with mango salsa.  Served with pasilla risotto and fresh vegetables.

New York Steak
Pan seared New York steak with a Roquefort butter crust.  Served with pomme frites and  fresh vegetables.

Pollo en Mole
Tender young chicken, poached and served over our delicious Reyna’s mole sauce.  Topped with toasted sesame seeds, sweet onion rings and rice.

Top Sirloin Sabroso
Filet of top sirloin steak a la parrilla, wrapped in bacon, marinated with tropical citrus and fruit juices and grilled to order.  Served with roasted garlic mashed potatoes, fresh vegetables and wild mushroom sauce.
